Who should buy the Purple

There are just four Purple mattresses available, but there should be something for everyone. The Purple mattress is a lightweight and thin all-foam variant. Although the Purple Hybrid mattresses are a little larger, customers can choose from three different profiles to choose the one that best fits their body shape.

When it comes to Helix mattresses, there are just two sizes available: 12-inch and 14-inch. Aside from that, they’re both taller than the usual person, and the beds are heavy, too. Having a high mattress may look nice to some sleepers, but others may find that it is too large for their bedroom.

This means that you should have no trouble obtaining bed frames, bedding or other sleep accessories to fit the mattress sizes of Helix and Purple’s mattresses.

As the name suggests, the mattress’ pocketed coils are zoned to provide extra support in key areas like the lumbar region and around the edges.

To ensure that all Helix mattresses are safe, they have been certified by CertiPUR-US and OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Soft (3), medium soft (4), medium firm (6), firm (7) and hard (8) are the firmness categories of the Helix mattresses (8). Memory foam can be used in the top layer of a mattress for side sleepers, or it can be developed for back and stomach sleepers instead. Sleepers under 130 pounds should go for a softer mattress, while those who weigh more than 130 pounds should opt for a firmer mattress. The Helix is available in a range of firmnesses, from 5.5 to 7.5 out of 10 out of 10. In my opinion, the Midnight is a 6/10. It’s great for side and back sleepers who like a softer sensation to this level of hardness.

For those who sleep on their back and side, the Midnight is an excellent choice. A medium-firm feel and adequate bounce allow for simple transitions between sitting and standing positions. Additionally, its medium-firm feel is ideal for couples who sleep in different positions. Because of its limited motion transfer and strong edge support, it’s especially great for couples.

For those who sleep on their stomach, one of the firmer Helix mattresses may be preferable so that their hips don’t sink too far and their spine remains in a neutral position. With their varying firmness levels, these models may also be constructed significantly differently. Latex-like dynamic foam is used in the Dawn, whereas thick memory foam is used in the Midnight. There is some variance in feel due to the use of different materials.

Purple

I gave the Purple a 7 out of 10, or just a smidgen stiffer than medium-firm. With its medium-firm feel, the mattress provides a good balance of support and comfort. The gel grid, on the other hand, allows for a wide range of sleeping postures.

The Purple makes me feel as if my weight is evenly dispersed when I’m on my back. My hips sink in a little, but not too much, so I get a good mix of support and comfort. In order to alleviate the pain I’m experiencing in my shoulder area, I can simply shift my weight to one side and feel the grid walls collapse. If you want to sleep on your side, I recommend a softer mattress; I’m not sure I’d want to sleep on this one all night. If you’re a night owl who prefers to sleep on your back, you’ll be OK. The Purple did a decent job of supporting my hips while I was laying on my stomach. If you’re a combo sleeper, I think you’ll be fine with the support here. When it comes to sleeping on your stomach, you’ll need a mattress that’s even more firm.

Unlike typical coils, the individual coils are looped around each other, allowing them to move independently and isolate motion better. That’s great news for newlyweds.

Base Layer – DuraDense foam is the final layer. Adding this to the mattress provides a little extra support and durability.

Thoughts: The Helix features a unique sensation that falls somewhere between a traditional mattress and a hybrid. It has a lot of bounce, which may be appealing to those who frequently switch positions during the night. The Helix can be positioned in a number of ways depending on the model you select.
